This is the third track on the EP, and to me is about my "third stage" of how one copes with loss/if they actually cope at all. This song deals with not being able to accept the fact that my grandfather passed, and was actually the first song I wrote on the EP.
lyrics
It still feels like you’re here, in the back of my mind. And
that’s just what I need, to get me through the night. And I
just don’t know why you had to leave my side. And I don’t
want to accept, that you won’t come back tonight, that
you won’t come back tonight.
The final curtain’s drawn. We’ll scatter ash at dawn. Fly over
the sea, the man I wish to be. Your head of white blonde
hair, I’m down here and you’re up there, all these thoughts
invade my head. And even though you’ve reached that
light, that shines ever so bright - I don’t want to accept,
that you won’t come back tonight, that you won’t come
back tonight.
That you won’t come back tonight.
I don’t want to accept, that you won’t come back tonight,
that you won’t come back tonight.
