Waiting Game
02:56

While we wait, we hold each other in our arms, hoping that the prayers
we're saying find their way up from our palms.
An ordinary day, we were never thinking twice - never grateful
for the breath that we possess, and underestimate our lives.
Flashing lights and sirens, and the sadness fills the air,
rushing to a destination - we don't know if he'll be there. They make their
own predictions hoping that their word is true, we are only human - if not
for faith what would we do?
We are told it could be any day now, so we playing the waiting game,
when will his guard fall down? Things won’t be the same, we don't even know
what mind frame this poor man is now stuck in, so we sit and play
the waiting game but no one ever wins.
On my mind all day, as soon as I walked in the door I asked if there
was any progress and was told he wasn't with us anymore.

Mistaken

It's a bad idea to flip through photo albums and discover
long lost memories from oh so long ago, I cannot cope just
feeling that i'll see you again one day when there's no hope.
Having troubles telling my mind that this is real, not a holiday
is taken. I'm walking round these busy streets with the sight
of you to find that i'm mistaken.
Hey mister turn around, cause the sight of you is familiar.
No, another look a like i'm struck with sweet nostalgia
if I lie awake, let my mind run free, then it runs to you and
it's killing me, knowing there's no chance in finding you
around here.
So i'm running round these streets, from everything that's
getting in the way, I try to find you, try to speak but then
i'm stuck on any word to say and I am speechless, now i'm
left with feeling blank yet again, and you don't know, no
you'll never know, i miss you when you're gone,
won't see you again.
Hey mister turn around, because the sight of you is familiar
No, another look a like i'm struck with sweet nostalgia
if I lie awake, let my mind run free, then it runs to you and
it's killing me knowing there's no chance in finding you
around here

The Point

It still feels like you’re here, in the back of my mind. And
that’s just what I need, to get me through the night. And I
just don’t know why you had to leave my side. And I don’t
want to accept, that you won’t come back tonight, that
you won’t come back tonight.
The final curtain’s drawn. We’ll scatter ash at dawn. Fly over
the sea, the man I wish to be. Your head of white blonde
hair, I’m down here and you’re up there, all these thoughts
invade my head. And even though you’ve reached that
light, that shines ever so bright - I don’t want to accept,
that you won’t come back tonight, that you won’t come
back tonight.
That you won’t come back tonight.
I don’t want to accept, that you won’t come back tonight,
that you won’t come back tonight.

Until Then

I don’t know how, I don’t know when - but things will get better again,
give it time, you might be gone - but you will never leave, my friend. Cause
on that day, there was no “bye” cause we knew this wasn’t the end - in my
heart, in my mind, I know I’ll see you around the bend, so until then
We’ll dry these tears, and think of all those happy years, we don’t know why
you had to go - but you’ll remain the strongest man I’ll know.
So now we rest, but don’t forget these memories of you we kept, photographs and videos, you always kept us on our toes. That’s why we laughed, why we cried, we didn’t think you’d leave our side, for all we know, no need to mourn - it’s always darkest before the dawn so until then
We’ll dry these tears, and think of all those happy years, we don’t know why you had to go - but you’ll remain the strongest man I’ll know.
You’ll remain the strongest man I know.
